A Shrewd thinker, able director Dayal Padmanabhan with a subject of 2017 of Nithilan Swaminathan film ‘Kurungu Bommai’ gives a few surprises but at the same time protracted his screenplay by 30 minutes.  The original was 105 minutes long.

However, the performance and technical strength of this film ‘Ombaththane Dikku’ is in top gear.
In fact, there are eight directions and in the film, it is represented by Yogi, Aditi Prabhudeva, Ashok, Ramesh Bhat, Saikumar, Sampath, Sunder Veena and Prashanth Siddi. The ninth director is none other than director Dayal Padmanabhan. 

In a nutshell the protagonist Channa wants to set up a travel agency,  he has a tiff with his lover,  his father Vasu is surprisingly in Bengaluru from Shivamogga trusting his friend Varada who misused the friendship. At one point of time for Channa it was Dikku Thochada Paristhithi.

Saroja Devi that is Aditi Prabhudeva female protagonist wants her father operation done and she needs money, there is Chintak who wants to sleep on one crore of rupees as astrologer predicted,  Ramesh Bhat as Shankra wants his daughter marriage, the one connecting all troubleshooter is greedy Loki played by Sampath Kumar.  All revolve around Rs. 5 crore worth idol that is kept in a bag and transported by Varada played by Saikumar as he trusts Vasu so much. The one who carries the bag is Vasu, played by veteran Ashok, father of Channa, and finds something strange when he reaches Bengaluru. After he contacts Loki (Sampath Kumar) what transforms and how the bag is at large you have to find out in the cinema halls.

Yogish has a sensible role that is filled with humbleness, anger, comedy etc. He had done exceedingly well. In action portions, he steals the show.

Aditi is the best choice and her innocence mixed with surprise feeling has come out well. Ashok is amazing also because of his single take narration of a story in front of Sampath Kumar, Cool killer is Sampath Kumar, Sai Kumar stuns with his voice and performance.

Manikanth Khadri musical scores and background score is adequate, Rakesh in his camera work has shown good visual treat.

This is worth watching for many reasons – among a few emotional parts is very touching.
